I heard about this very successful trip from a special source. Feeling strong aren't you Mudworm? Really, really strong. Nice.

Thank you, Brad and your special source. Thanks to Mr. Mud for the wonderful opportunity!

I'm feeling strong, but there is always that next goal that requires me to get stronger. And I just discovered the world of aiding. Back to being a rookie again.  :P

Inch by inch, I will get there.

Aid? But you don't weigh anything. To keep things sporting and fair on aid pitches you should wear an 80 pound weight belt (in addition to the other, normal, bone-crushing load)  :P  ::)

Brad, you are not kidding. When I pulled out the wall rack at the base of the Nose, I almost cried. Did a few practice pitches of aiding (managed to get off route and did a pitch or two on Muir Blast) at the base yesterday. Wow, completely eye-opening. And there was not even hauling involved.

Brad, Mud just explained to me what you meant by "fair."  Oh, I see. The gear is sketchier when you are heavier. Even I had a cam blown out of a piton pocket on me and it sent me sailing. I want to trade 80 lbs for your 2 extra feet of reach though. I mistakenly did the 2nd pitch of Muir Blast. 10+ bolts. Every bolt was pretty much out of reach!

Katie probably has the ideal aid climber's build -- tall and thin.  :D
