It'll be perfect at Pinnacles this weekend (Jan 28,2017)
« on: January 23, 2017, 02:17:45 PM »
Oh, enough of this rain. I've been checking the forecast and am getting excited that perfect climbing weather is coming up this weekend. Mr. Mud has convinced me that I need to hit Pinnacles to improve my face climbing skills. So, here I come...

Will be hitting the popular area though for the mileage. Don't  ::) just yet. I was there on MLK day. Was glad to lead Trauma and Jorgie's Crack with its continuation (linked to the top) among other moderate climbs. Wow, the guidebook was so right (as always of course!) about the wild exposure on Jorgie's Continuation!

Mr. Mud gave me  :( when I told him I didn't take any pictures despite it being a beautiful day, so I'll make sure to take some pictures this weekend. It's only Monday, but I'm already looking forward to the weekend.

Hope to run into some Masters of Mud at the parking lot or the crag!
Inch by inch, I will get there.

You will do fine.  I think that route craters to your strengths.

CATERS, CATERS. Do not crater, I don't care what your strength. And he's right, you'll walk Broken Arrow.

Probably the fucking funniest quote that will ever be attributed to Mud.
Causing trouble when not climbing.

Nice... I should be out climbing at Discovery Wall this weekend. Will you be out there on Saturday?

Clink, yeah, that line got me LOL hard as well!

Hi Gavin, oh... it'll be awesome to hitch your leads on a few routes that I'm too chicken to lead myself. Since I'm just day dreaming here, I have not made plans with any partner for a specific day yet. I just know I'll be there. Is Saturday the day you can climb? If so, I'll be there on Saturday.  ;D

Inch by inch, I will get there.

But stayyyyy right.....for an honest lead.

Some well known climber always says that about Broken Arrow.

Yeah, I can climb Saturday. Let me know when you're thinking of rolling into the park that day. (It's been getting down to the low/mid 30s at night, so an early start isn't really necessary... The main cliffs are getting sun by 08:30 or 09:00, I would guess.)

Just sent you an email. Don't worry. I'm not crazy like NOAH and Mr. Mud. Everytime, winter or summer, when they climb (word used loosely) together, "we are meeting in Woodside at 4:30am." It's as if they had only one setting on their alarms and could never change it.

It's Noal. Think Noah the lover, or Noah and the Love Boat.

Thank you clunk for pointing that out!

My apologies to NOAL. Though...we Chinese don't have "L" in our pronunciation unless it leads a word.  :-[  That's a fact, and there is nothing alternative about it.
