I used to place my bolts via rapping. We'll really acending via jumars, so I was heading up.

The last 3 routes I've put up in the Pass have been ground up, placing either from stance or hooking. Such experiences have made me ponder putting up the next few lines on the eastern front via ground up...after extensice trudling, I mean cleaning.

Next thing you know I'll start pulling the rope down between tries.

I've said it before and I believe Brad agrees, that the Table Mtn area should be top down. Big blocks have been pried off and those should be cleaned.

Why are you posting on MoM forum for Table Mtn?

Unless of course you are going to pull the rope for all your pinnacles routes if you fall or hang?

If I pulled the rope everytime I hung at the Pinns I'd be better off bouldering.

I figured this forum needs more traffic and talk. The OTHER forum seems to be alive.

Mr Kalinowski has done major cleaning and we'll do a bit more.

Nope, Mr K is the tom sawyer of climbing. He ropes us sucker into helping him clean. But no loose block escapes him and his trusty pry bar.

Haven't found a line worthy of going from the ground up. Plus I like to use Mr Bosch. Maybe I'd come to my senses before I launched up that shitty loose rock.
