The Mudr'ment Shutdown

During a Federal government shutdown, we do not monitor or update social media. Some areas in Pinnacles National Park are accessible, however access may change without notice, and there are no NPS-provided services. For more information visit www.nps.gov/pinn.

Some areas are accessible. So what your saying is....

Sure use the holmgren parking spot on the west side, it’s outside the monument.

Do the birds I understand the shut down?

Or just go to the climbing gym.

Not much out of the ordinary happening today. Some folks parked illegally at Old Pinns but no ticketing. Rangers are patrolling but there are signs everywhere saying enter at your own risk with no support of any kind and no permanent bathrooms outside the campground are open - porta potties are okay for now but with no maintenance that is not likely last long. Let's hope they don't have to go weeks before it ends like last time. We all have to do our part to help - pack your trash and be responsible stewards where all else is concerned.

Put all your money in Wag Bags!!!

Is the idea to keep the park open for a few days, then if/when the human waste/trash problem gets out of hand, close things down? I'd think Pinns West would be no big deal, but Yos is going to get stinky soon.

So I don't know how to say this lightly, so I'll just use my normal, blunt style.

WTF is it with you and seeing "things" in rock formations? I never would have seen what you saw here... until you saw and posted it. So too with Topknot Pinnacle (which I still haven't seen in person). And others.

I'm hereby adding to your Mudn'Crud resume. You're the (unquestioned) cultural attache. You're also now Mudn'Crud's "most fertile imagination" (in a good way only).

JC does have a creative imagination. I was going to give him shit for coming up with a Star Trek character, and then saw Lincoln. Dude you have sick perception skills.  ;)

Yosemite was open too apparently. Missed my chance. Watching the news in the background. WTH, are we officially bathroom enabled now or not?

Vote out GOP reps that failed to be deficit hawks, when it was needed and non-harmful, as well as those that have followed the "GOP" playbook of not negotiating in good faith but only pushing their agenda at any cost.

Yeah Mungie, we missed our chance to have taken over the monument, well at least occupy a campsite...until the beer ran out...and the firewood. Such a horrible thought...Clink would have come to the rescue.

Who needs a bathroom, it pays to camp higher up on the stream...
