Great to see the crew at the Old Man.  The kids told me they were gorillas, as they were smearing themselves with dirt. The adults were climbing like chimps.  :D

Our "Cover Girl" took this shot of Tricia high-stepping on her lead of Squeaky Clean Mud:

Thanks to everyone for helping make the weekend fun.  :yesnod:
Friday we went to Deep Groove Wall and I tried to push Wit’s End with Jason while the gals climbed.

Rosie stepped up and led No Room for Squares 5.8* after she and Whitney took turns leading Perne in a Gyre
5.6. They both led Tuff Chix 5.7 and we finished the day on Class Clown 5.7* (everyone but the teacher led it).
We saw a couple condors while Whitney was leading.

Whitney leads Class Clown 5.7*

Rosie leads Class Clown 5.7*

Back in camp we were treated to a visit from Mr. Mud – great to see you dude! :yesnod:

Saturday we all headed up early and had a T-rrific day at Crud and Mud.
We welcomed some new folks into the fold this weekend - Andy, Tara, Lexi, Dean and Brodie

I paired up with Tricia for a spell. She got right on the sharp end and led Squeaky Clean Mud 5.6**. We hit Pay Dirt 5.7*** after that. She is such a pleasure to hang out and climb with.

climberdude and Kimber made the rounds - Kimber got in a bunch of new leads and said she had a blast.

Whitney stepped up her game and led Here’s Mud in Your Eye 5.8** and so did Rosie. I didn’t get to watch them but I was bubbling with praise for them. They also took turns leading It’s 4:20 Dude 5.5* and Whitney capped a fine day by leading Mud Diamond 5.7***.  Wow!

One lead that I did get to watch and thoroughly enjoyed was F4 on Here’s Mud in Your Eye 5.8**. That was cool.

Kim-bear took a nap with Kat while beano got some time on the mud. When she woke up, Kim-bear wanted to lead

But beano wasn’t quite ready to let her

The Dawsons came out and were still having fun as we packed up to head back to camp.

Here’s young Alex Dawson leading Pay Dirt 5.7***

Saturday night we had a good circle around the free-range vegan fire rings with plenty of good food, drink and laughter.
For some strange reason the old geezers outlasted the young folks

Yesterday was a bit on the warm side (high of 89) and the crag wasn’t as shady as we’d hoped but everyone still had fun.
briham toughed out a sunny hang to get the first bolt in on a new route. Mr Mud would have been proud :yesnod:

Thanks for the great weekend John and Kathy! It was great to meet Whitney and Rosie, and get in that bolt on Wit's End. The more I think about it, the more I think it'll go. We oughta get back out there next week, John. Hope everyone scraped out PO free. Looks like the rest of the weekend was completely epic. Maybe next time I won't fall and break my leg leaving the parking lot first thing. Here's to next year!

Whew! Thank goodness someone broke the long silence.
You might want to change that screen name to Crud Limper if you're gonna keep hurting yourself on the hike out.
I know you had a slip and fall on at least one other day out.  :yikes:
Maybe we should encourge The Kid to move back to the area so you two can partner up - she's a klutz too.

Oh crap - I guess I just set myself up.  :madman:
Seems to be the new norm now that clink is in absentia.  :incazzato:

Damnit! I just did it again... :prrr: :out: :ciappa:

That was a lot of fun! We should do it more than once a year...or two if you count PCAD.

Next year we will be there in force. JC will be turning 90!   The cradle robber only looks 75! I can't wait.

Yeah, I may or may not get back to Pinns this season, but that's all the weekend crowds I can stand for a while. Pinns on weekdays (if at all) and totally uncrowded SPH and Sierra back-country for at least several months now.

May the force be with you.
I'm 100 if you round up.
And I don't think less than 4 1/2 years age difference makes me a cradle robber  :nonod: :out: :prrr: :ciappa: :arf:
