I have both but have quit using the large Generacl/transfer switch. The system I am using and have installed now for a few others is a very quiet Honda EU 3000 gas generator. I have back cord wired into a manual safety switch with about 6 circuits plus two dedicated 110 circuits run directly off the generator.

This powers all the lights (LED), kitchen, furnace, 2to3 frdges, computers, TVs,. It will 24hrs on a tank and is so quiet we can run it all night.

Cord can stay plugged in. When power is restored, flip the safety switch and turn off the generator or vice versa.

Way cheaper and quieter than the propane generator.

Thx, would love to talk about the set up more. Sounds just about perf except the fuel storage/anticipating need for fuel part. Propane could be tapped directly off the huge tank for me amd seems cheaper per gallon on the face ofnit.

I ran a load of clothes through the washer and dryer and then folded the shirts and jeans. Then I put the socks and boxers in the top drawer, the shirts in the second and the jeans in the third.

In other news, the pork roast smells delicious, it is almost done. I wonder what the plant powered JC climbed today.

And after you climbed in "Sonora," did you drive home to your house in Livermore?

We clearly saw the difference between pork and plant powered this weekend.

I do climb occasionally on Sonora Pass but generally avoid Sonora.

We had a great PCAD event, culminating in a campfire sing-a-long of every Neil Young song I could muster.  :blahblah: :guitar: :ciappa:

The weather was absolutely delightful. :ihih: :arf:
