Nothing. You're just obviously very smart.

Gorgeous, gorgeous skies up there today.

The winds have changed and the smoke cleared then the Sun came out.  Now it is supposed to rain.

Dennniisss. Dennniisss.

We're almost packed and we're leaving in the morning for Washington....

(By way of 32 more miles of hiking in Oregon first.)

Brave man! Oh and I think there is a facial hair requirement.

Enjoy.

Hopefully Mr Mud will have his addition completed by the time you get there.

One of the most stressful starts to a PCT trip ever. But we’re on our way.

Yeah, hopefully they won’t involve any more doggy diarrhea.

Yuck...

Bummed we couldn't join you. Between Whitney starting a new job and me currently typing this from the SFO airport headed back to Taiwan, it just didn't line up.

Luckily our veterinarian has been a personal friend since 1994. Vicki was on the phone with him by 8:00 (on a Saturday) and by 9:30 we had doggie meds. They’re working so far 😁

Hope you have a great trip! Enjoy crossing the Bridge of the Gods ;D Good food and beer at Thunder Island in Cascade Locks and Backwoods Brewing in Carson, WA. Welcome to where I grew up! Well, close to it - I grew up in White Salmon, 20 mins east of the BOTG! Vicki should end up driving right along the White Salmon River as she detours around to join you outside of Trout Lake, WA. Where's your planned stopping point for this trip?

Living 20 minutes away is pretty darn close (well at least up there - that time might correspond to three miles for commuting B.A.P.s).

Stopping point will, of course depend on progress. Northwest shoulder area of Mount Adams? North of there? We'd love to get close enough to Mr Mud to annoy him, but not yet this trip.

And we'll likely be camping either three or four nights in Cascade Locks, so those food recommends will come in handy!

Our new record (or should I say new low?) this winter in Tahoe was 1.5 hours to go 4 miles through South Lake Tahoe as all the BAPs tried to exit the basin on a snowy Sunday evening...

Foodwise, Bridgeside in Cascade Locks is also decent. As is Big River Grill in Stevenson (across the bridge).

Dog food eaten in camp would be better than any of those recommendations... if you and Brian could have joined us (damn work schedules).
