Bruce is using 10mm Bosch bits now and he also laid some on me.
You can still get an occasional spinner - Bruce, Clint and I have all had a few - even with the 10mm bits.
But that is a different story all together...

Besides...No bolt is completely worthless...it can always serve as a bad example  :out: :arf:

I will have to talk to him again.  From what he said on the phone the new bits seem to fixe the issue.  It looks like Powers has a new design that is meant to fix the possible spinner issue.

Until they eliminate the little compression slots in the nose cone and reduce the nose cone diameter down to 3/8, I think people will still continue to have problems.

Where is the documentation for this new design? I don't see anything on the Powers site.
If you look at the new design carbon bolts they came out with a couple years ago, they do not have the compression slots. The internal bolt on the 3/8 carbon bolt is only 1/4 inch though.

strange I swore I saw it on their website but it is not there now.  Hmm perhaps I was dreaming.  I bought a bag that is sitting in the kitchen.  They are the same as they ever were.

 :madman: :madman: :madman:

how do I add photos to the main body of a comment?

I click the "insert image" button which gives me the (img)(/img) thingy with brackets...  I figure I'm supposed to type something in between... so i attach the photos... and then I try to type the filename between the thingies but then when I click preview, it shows nothing.

Someone smarter then me will have to give a more detailed response (Mudworm, where are you?). But I suspect that the basic problem has to do with where you are storing your photos? Storing them in Flickr or (boo) Photobucket is the norm, and that provides a "stored photo web address" (my words) that can then be inserted between the "image brackets."

I have no idea how to post a photo in the way that you and Clink have, so my explanation might be missing bits.

How do I post a picture, you ask?

easy! copy the url for an image that is already hosted (aka stored) ONLINE. e.g. Flickr, Photobucket, etc.

add 'img' tags around that URL in the message you want to post, like this...

Code: [Select]
[img]http://www.photobucket.com/yourpic.jpg[/img]

Which link do I use to paste between the image tags, you ask?

It depends on the service, but for Flickr, you first click into the image while logged in. On the right side is an arrow, click that to 'share'...select 'BB Code' but you may need to edit down the 'BB Code' link they give you.

For instance it might give you something like this...
Code: [Select]
[url=https://flic.kr/p/27j8YBb][b][img]https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1774/42212281400_a6ebe5f96f_b.jpg[/img][/b][/url][url=https://flic.kr/p/27j8YBb]DSC_2680[/url] by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/munclimber/]Mung3 Climber[/url], on Flickr
But you just want the bold part. Copy that out and keep the img tags.

Then it looks like this in the edit window
Code: [Select]
[img]https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1774/42212281400_a6ebe5f96f_b.jpg[/img]
But then it displays like this when you post it...

So easy a Meanderthal could do it - but the problem is time and Meanderthals like to do things from their phones.
