briham,
I was out climbing with clink with those blisters after doing just that.
It lasts about 5 hours for me. I rinse it under the hottest water I can stand for as long as I can stand it.
clink took one look at it and said...you need to see a doctor dude.

Urine also helps sooth the poison oak rash.

I leave to you on how to apply!!

Yikes looks nasty.  I remember one time, middle of summer I crashed my mountain bike into a bunch of poison oak.  Tumbled and slid down the hill until my shirt hooked on a poison oak stump (that left a nasty poison oak stump scratch from hell).  I was covered and as I was struggling to get back up the hill with my bike and up onto the trail a co-working reached down and we grabbed each others forearms and he pulled me the last little bit up to the trail.  Two days later he had a perfect, rosy red, blistered hand print on his forearm.

I had just climbed Icarus or Deadalus, and Brad and I were making our way off near the caves.

Somewhere I took a PO branch to the chest (thanks brad). I thought nothing of it.

A week later Jenny is in bed scratching and scratching..

I had somehow infected her. Not being from around these parts she had zero clue what the rash was.

Lesson learned, I changed cloths at parking lot. And put in wash at home.

I'm not worthy.

I am having a really really bad case.  My upper body now are covered with rashes, they look like chicken pox, and both my legs and arms.
Munge,  I don’t want to go to Pinns for a while.   Better to go to higher altitude area.

I am so miserable now.

Damn, Jenn, I am so sorry. I hope you're taking steps to fight it? Technu is helpful after the fact. Do you have any Technu?

If you have it that bad you should go to the doctor. They can give you a steroid shot and it will go away.

I've been texting her the exact same thing this morning.

Great minds, etc.

I just made an appointment.  If they give me a STEROID SHOT, I should run the Berkeley Half Marathon this Sunday, maybe I will win. ::)

New rule:

After steroids for a massive case of P.O. the climber must go immediately to Pinnacles and lead both routes on Prednisone Pinnacle.

Still use the Technu. 2 or 3 uses removes the oils that cause and spread the rash.

If the rash spreads to areas that are not contact points or subsequent contact with contaminated clothing you MUST go to urgent care now!!!!

You are likely having a systemic response.

for future excursions they make a pre-exposure cream that I have found works fairly well.  I used that last 5 years or so in the Bay Area while climbing and riding.   I still got PO on occasion but usually only a couple of dots.  I think this is also sold by Technu.
