It has definitely been wet here at the park the last few days, and it looks like there will be some significant new rainfall today, tonight, tomorrow... And at least some chance of rain all the way through the extended forecast. It has also been cold (for Pinnacles), with lows near freezing and highs in the 50s. Definitely not ideal climbing conditions - despite an influx of a lot of visitors at the park yesterday, I did not see any climbers at the usual haunts in Bear Gulch.
I hiked up to North Chalone Peak yesterday, and there was still some snow near the summit, and atop South Chalone Peak. While I was up there (doing some condor monitoring work), I got snowed on a couple of times too! The weather was dynamic, and there were some beautiful rainbows as well as breaks in the clouds throwing dramatic shafts of light on the peaks.
We really need the rain, but I don't think conditions will be great here for climbing for some time!
