We got home to 15 inches of snow and a 30 inch berm.

At least the electricity is on.

It's been dry for a couple days at Pinns with just a little sun and some righteous wind gusts yesterday - the gauge registered 49 mph at 12:30pm and 48 at 2:30pm.

I hear the call and I must answer soon or lose what little bit is left of my mind.
Forecast is 80% today and 60% tomorrow but then it looks clear for the week with temps coming up into the upper 50's or low 60's.

Oddly it did not rain at all at Pinns yesterday. I have been there on 60% days with no rain and 20% days where it was actively raining and shut down our hopes of climbing. With an 80% chance, I did not even consider going yesterday - go figure.

What's the take home point? Meteorology is one of the most inaccurate predictive sciences on the planet. Now multiply that by several orders of magnitude and you have climate science (not taking into account anthropogenic effects or politics). Want to take a trip to the final frontier? Become a predictive seismologist, glacialogist or quantum physicist. Most or all of the subjects addressed by these disciplines (and many more) will be debated ad infinitum. Enough digressing.

It rained a bit last night and is supposed to clear for the week starting some time today.
It's been pouring here and I'll give you one guess where Kat is.
That's right...she is out for a run at the beach path with her friend Carol.

I don't eat peanuts.
I like carrots.

Frosty the snowman mornings with abominably low daytime temps and a slight chance of glittering sprinkles on Sunday morning

Seriously dumping here on the coast with some hail and the forecast says it is headed to Pinns.
Just in time to ruin our Inn at Pinnacles weekend for the 3rd year in a row.
Time for the Seinfield impersonation again - REALLY?

Grashoppper, always book 1st weekend in Feb.
I know, u want to go to the High Peaks 1more time.
January is a crap shoot.

I believe it’s due to Mungos birthday= snow for his sledding.
Just a conspiracy theory.

Once he sells the sled, it will never rain at the Pinnacles again.

Made me look at the radar picture on weather.com.

Wow, yeah, that's a lot of yellow!

It's raining down there now. Park gauge went from 7.03 to 7.20 in an hour and if it's coming down there like it is here...
sheesh...better take a raft or a canoe.
