Grashoppper, always book 1st weekend in Feb.
I know, u want to go to the High Peaks 1more time.
January is a crap shoot.

I believe it’s due to Mungos birthday= snow for his sledding.
Just a conspiracy theory.

Once he sells the sled, it will never rain at the Pinnacles again.

He should sell that snow hog immediately.

If you want conspiracy theory I'll go with Angels Don't Play This HAARP.
Craig and I were commenting on the con trails in the sky yesterday as we hiked down Condor Gulch.
Put on your tin foil hat, adjust your respirator and keep that water filter handy.
Get that bunker finished so you can stock it with with ammo and survival rations

How weird. I've now noticed for the second time that National Weather Service doesn't measure snow. At least not quickly, like it measures rain.

We've got eight inches of snow outside and NWS says zero precipitation here for all of today, January 16th.

I was going to say you probably have between 8 and 9 inches of snow based on the rain that fell at Pinns.

I was out on the West Side this morning. There was a bit of snow on the NW side of Chalone Peak. Son Jon and I walked down and up the Jawbone Canyon trail. It was chilly and wet, but otherwise beautiful! Streams were flowing. We conversed with JC and Kathy at the Visitors Center. They were off to have a whack at the graffiti. Power to their hammer!

F4, you didn't do your homework. Watch the Zappa video, they read the tall kids post. Then read mine.

I bet Pinnacles is beautiful this weekend.

Speaking of "Dry this weekend?", the Sleeping Incontinence Crowd should check their Depends, before breakfast.
Don't forget to wash your hands.

Yep. Laugh it up you two - your day is coming  :yesnod: :out: :prrr:

That humor is pretty dry

We got a few new routes done this weekend - even with starts between 9:30 and 10:00.

There was no big rush with the gloomy weather - almost no sun and cool temps.

A good time was had by all.

After two hours of “was that a raindrop,” I was 150 yards from the car when it started to rain at 2:00. By the time we got to Soledad things were pretty wet.

So much for the NWS predictions, since there was no rain forecast today.
I talked to clink this am and he said it was already raining in Monterey.
Glad we opted out.
