Acopa!!
« on: January 09, 2020, 09:49:01 PM »
Just got my new pair of Spectres in the mail and man o' man they look awesome!

Anybody else ever use their shoes? If not consider it.  The rubber IMO is way stickier than stealth.  Its made from cacti.

The other small shoe company I have been looking to get a pair from is unparrellel up.  Guys who used to work for 5.10 and started their own joint. Anybody bought any?  Better prices than 5.10.

HA! DO I love them???? I have a pair of Aztecs in my garage, mint condition, in the box, never laced.

Sadly, after I got them....I kinda took a break from climbing.

Good on them for making a comeback.

I went to Bishop Peak in San Luis Obispo yesterday for a bit of hiking and bouldering. Will be a great spot to soon with the grandkids, those boulders are perfect for them.

Bouldering in my New Balance shoes made me think about trying some new climbing shoes on. The problem is the fit, like everyone else, I suppose.

I don't think Acopa makes canoes.

Wait a minute. Aren't you supposed to be working?

You'll obviously do just about anything to keep from climbing with me at Pinnacles. :out: :prrr: :ciappa:

Yep, I avoid you like the plague. Have you lead it?

I try to avoid lead but I might need some to tether to if I belay you

I also try to avoid Discovery Wall but I'd go climb that one with you.
We could do a few others too - there's a lot there I have never done.

Rubble Wall still has room for that one.

Isn't this thread supposed to be about groovy new shoes?

Well I love mine.

Now I am about to implement my evil plan.....spring camping at the Pinnacles with the boys.Every 2 weekends, camp out.
Yup, no TV (hard for me), no internet and no phones.

Make my boys hike and climb.

Then I can bust out the Acopas.

Worse case, James gets the new pair.

BTW, Clink what are you doing South of Greenfield?

It's not central California, they are a bit different down there.

Personally, I love the view in the evening from King City as Chalone peak greets me.
If only it was 14,000 tall with some ice.

I'll have to check them out next time you and I head out.
I have 4 pairs of shoes with almost new soles, so I won't be in the market for quite some time.
