Yes, Jim had some nice photos in that article. Lava Falls does lend it's self to a route where once can get some amazing climbing photos. I just have not had the fitness or the willing accomplices to do a photo shoot on it.

Now to drift off thread a wee bit...since the topic of Lava Falls came up.

One day Eric and I were stumbling back the car after climbing on the Balconies. We meet up with 2x other climbers....Brutus and Em walking in.
"Are you guys climbers?" asks Brutus....Eric and I look at each other and Eric responded "I think so, or maybe"...a typical Eric answer..
They asked us where could then camp, and said the nearest place they heard was Kings City, we agreed and bid them safe travels.

So, the next weekend we are back to the Balconies, on Lava Falls and notice a leaver binder at the steep 1st pitch runout. Come to find out (via munge? as he knows everything), it's Brutus's biner. Even worse, he had fallen on the runout crux and had mangled his ankle on the fall! Brutus, in his typical fashion, proceeded to hobble all the way back out to the car! I think that's how the evens went, it's a bit fuzzy...except for "are you guys climbers?"
Later, when replacing the bolts, that crux bolt was moved a wee higher (6 inches or less)(position certified/ approved by Clint) and is now a glue-in.
