One of our network guys at Acuson was world luge champion a couple of different years.  He also longboarded.  He had some interesting stories about the local roads

Well it was crazy to see in 1990_95 the no skateboarding sign on kings mountain right after the Huddart Park turn off.

Had to be guys on street luges. Crazy as it’s a windy ass road.

from what I heard it was more than street luge.  I was surprised to hear they went down some roads that I thought would be to rough.  Last big one that I heard he one was in Brazil.  He really liked that course because of all the turns.  Guess it was a fairly technical descent.  Was kind of fast on a bike as well, go figure.

Didnt make it down that way today. Had to do fun things this weekend like smog the car and various other equally thrilling chores.

Weather must've been super nice down there.  Took a ride Friday. OLH Tunitas loop. Strange weather. sunny and warm in San Gregorio and a wall of fog around star hill. I like riding on Friday afternoons.  Less people out.

No crashes=good.

Rode road today.

On a "I crashed" thread that could mean asphalt rash.
Just got back in from my uni ride.
So few people walking around the neighborhood compared to a month ago.
One car parked at the beach path when I left and about 20 when I came back through.
Are you tracking your progress on Strava so everyone can stalk you?
Then again...can a Meanderthal make progress?

All us cyclists are on Strava talking about those Pinnacles people on Facebook.

Can you use for the unicycle? I see a tab with a foot for running, a tab with a bicycle, but no one wheel option.

There is only one option for the uni.

All you need is one.
One is all you need.

At this point all Strava wants is you to sign up and pay the, some $$.

So it think they would add a Uni section.

I wish I could turn off the local legend feature.  When someone else becomes the new legend they send you this annoying email how somebody stole your status. As if I care.

This seems like a micro aggression to me.
Doesn't everybody get a participation trophy?

Guess they just want to show everybody who rode up the latest hill of beans

You get your own achievements so you can compete against your best time.

The local legend is a new feature that tracks and gives recognition to the person who has ridden a segment of trail or road the most times in 90 days.

Before there was just the KOM or king of mountain for the fastest time and then "trophies" for top ten.

Kind of cool to see how fast somebody can ride something. Like seeing speed records for climbs you have climbed and then imagining Hans Florine or Dan Osman running up it in 1/10 of the time.

I got an email yesterday that I am currently the local legend on a segment of road in our neighborhood.  I didn't even know there was such a thing.   ;D

Yup, everybody is a winner!, now subscribe!

I have 2x local legends.

It’s tough as I have to ride the same segments each day.....even taking a detour to complete the segment.

I might have to pay a buddy to carry my bike computer next week when I am gone.

Noal, I want to get that for riding monteB to see how strong I would get riding 3k a day.
