I did a 10 mile training hike today with a few gallons of extra water weight. The knee did well, although I'm not in great shape because of the forced layoff.

Still, I think I'll manage on our upcoming trip. Looking forward to the next 100.9 miles in two backpacking legs.

Great news about the knee.  Hope it holds up over several days of backpacking.

We are planning our next leg (I5 to Seiad Valley).  Logistics can sometimes be as challenging as the hiking!  We are trying to figure out how to do a 3 day backpacking section though the Marble Mountain Wilderness area with jus the three of us.  Wishing we had a Vicki!

"Two backpacking legs" Are you modeling for Merriam Webster?

Glad your knee is getting better.

Success so far!

These mountains sure are steep (even if they are "low" elevation compared to our Sierra).

 Will you then walk south?

I’d avoid Canada, socialists.
I'm not worthy.
