On my way....

Yeah right. You gotta get out of the water first  :out:

Was watchin' an old Kirk Douglas western this afternoon and they were showing scenery around Bend.
Really pretty.
We need to get back up that direction.
I used to go to Seattle every summer when I had a buddy that lived there.

Alert...Alert...thread drift  :out: :ciappa: :arf:

Thanks Gavin for the good information.

Swallow Crack isn't really a good route in general to set up a TR ...

The couple of times I went to Discovery Wall, I found that Swallow Crack was a very popular TR for big groups with many pure followers. I think the moderate rating might be the main attraction; that, and the option of walking to the top to set up TR without needing to lead climb it.
Inch by inch, I will get there.

I agree with both Gavin and mudworm.  Not a great route since it traverses and is under cut a bit.  But it is a popular TR because it is fairly moderate, relatively short approach, has anchors, walk off and accommodates large groups.   Portent has a harder start and ends up with more rope drag.  Rat Race gets taken right away and every else you have to walk further, has a more uncomfortable base or both.

Horrible route to TR.
Go elsewhere!!

I’d rather TR the indirect piton traverse on the Monolith.
NOT!!!

Swallow Crack. (Aren't you supposed to smoke it?)

Causing trouble when not climbing.

When you are in the middle of a climb, you swallow it.

Nope...sorry - you swallow it when you are about to get pinched by Five-O.
