My bro said there's a bug with vista and it won't run ITunes? Is that true?

Sucks!

Well actaully for some people it works for some it does not.  Some of the failure modes are fairly bad so Apple is recommeding that people do not use itunes with Vista until the next release of itunes come out which will be in a couple of weeks.  It is probably best to wait a couple of weeks after that to make sure the new release actually works.
I'm who i am.

Big whoops on MS. How many PC users are using ITunes?

Funny, but the last version if ITunes was buggy as well. Talk about a pain in the ass.

I'm not upgrading until it looks like most of the big bugs are worked out.

Laughed my ass off on that one. I read about that as well Erik. Funny how well Zune was tied into this. Flawless.

Wow, I wonder if the back pain or the vertigo has softened the man. I was expecting to hear a deafening DIE when I clicked on the thread because it got MS in the title.
Inch by inch, I will get there.

It isn't back pain or vertigo that has softened him. It's happiness. Good job Mudworm.

I feel that Vista is a far superior product to Apple's OS.

They updated the driver support and actually have X10 so they have what every other OS had 10 years ago.

Vista

DIE

Why go Vista when you can stay on XP. Or, better yet go with Solaris or Mac OS.  Comon think about it.  If you can run the Mac OS on the new hardware why in the world would someone run Vista.

mud, if we understand that the passions (in the traditional greek understanding) drive us, consequently feeling is actually a more powerful state of being than pretentions to objectivity. other than that it's just post drivel anyways.

Mr Mud- can you network Apple's reliably?  Does Solaris have apps and GUI?

LOL

Network Mac's reliably.  Um.. Yes.  Can you get an I.P. address?

Solaris apps and GUI, how many thousands is enough?  If you want something like Outlook there is Zimbra and it works on Palm OS plus just about any other hand held and it also works with Exchange.  If you want a browser there is Firefox but then you would have already known that since IE is DIEing.  If you want word there is openoffice which will probably outpace MSoffice in a couple of years.  Why?, because MS is killing itself with it's licensing and cost.  They should do a google search on Auspex.

There are some cool apps that run on the MS platform since it is very common.  But, if MS is not careful Lynux will sneak up from behind since it is user friendly, just as stable and less expensive.

Many years ago macs had a problem with appletalk flooding networks since it was very chatty, kinda like wins.  They had a very bad rep and were kicked off some networks.  That is why it was gotten rid of around here.  We have now some macs on the network and nobody knows cuz they think it is just another unix box.
