This is turning out to be one of the worst rib injuries I have had and there have been a few.  Still very sore, when laying down and trying to roll over I get a crunching sound.  I get this at other times as well, have to move very carefully.  When I crashed, I was laying there thinking, this is going to hurt, I had no idea.  Maybe Brad is right, but that just cannot be.

Went to the see the doctor, the doctor asked if I had blood in my urine.  Never asked me anything else or did any kind of exam.  Seemed super interested in getting me scheduled for a proctology exam.

Waldo, my experiment of gaining weight and expanding my stomach dimensions so that I would no longer have to wear a belt failed. Gravity and the development of a taper from my stomach to my hips defeated the pure friction of the tightened waistline due to my stomach expansion. It ended up working only if I stood completely still, movement brought the whole venture down. I am going to have to suspend my research.

Crashed the mountain bike into a pile of rocks and cracked a couple of ribs.

Been off the forum for a long time, and look what I missed! Not good. At least, you are on the mend now...

Stay clear of those black diamond trails!

Well it's Thanksgiving and both Vicki and I have a cold (multiple negative covid tests). Our trip south to her sister's house got cancelled for obvious reasons. So, damn.

At least the forced "rest" day allowed a coffee-fueled reading of Accidents in North American Climbing this morning.

Damn, people can screw up in soooo many ways! And nature can just act... whenever it wants, and there you are.

I really don't like reading this annual unless I know I won't be climbing for a while.

I hear that, used to read those reports in my early years of climbing and took serious mental note of both potential for screwing up and getting in the way of nature happening. A lot of prudence and a bit of luck later, still typing.

 Damn those colds  :imsad:

This last storm handed us our asses on Eureka Canyon, never seen the water so high in my time living there. The worst, according to the old time residents was the 82-83 season.
