A Pinnacles Poem finally published!
« on: January 22, 2023, 09:13:43 AM »
I thank editor Irene Toh for including "Twilight Fox" in her Red Wolf Journal. I scratched out a rough draft of this poem forty years ago after a day of climbing in the High Peaks. I ran into a fox a bit before Tourist Trap on the way down to the parking lot.  It didn't come into focus until just a few days ago. Here's a link to the journal:  https://redwolfjournal.wordpress.com

 I like your fox Waldo!

Edit: We discussed the poem a little after dinner, Claire was sad about the fox, we were wondering and musing about the fox…thanks for another gift.  :)

Why can't they just call you Waldo too, Robert?

I like the poem. But I still think that your best writing is the short story about the boat sinking. Absolutely clever story.

I'm glad you liked this one, Clink. I continued down to hunt up a ranger in case they wanted to check on what put this guy down. I never learned what was discovered.
