I could give you an old Kentucky saying but someone might get offended. It implies an answer to the question.

I love getting offended.

I'll take the old Kentucky saying please. But in the form of a question ;)

Is that Lynard Skynard's bus?

You can't play Swamp Music in somethin' that fancy.
The doors opened like the Starship Enterprise.

Walt said their other "RV" is a yacht (he used to sell them).
They hadn't yet decided which mode of travel they liked better.  :ihih:

There are currently 94 on the list:

94. My wife and I had a major disagreement the other day. I told her that I could build a car out of spaghetti. She told me that this was impossible. So we made a bet. I worked hard and I won the bet just the other day. And man, you should have seen her face when I drove pasta.

This is a joke from Ling-weeny?

Talked to someone at work who went camping this past weekend at Pinns. He said he talked to a ranger and in the next couple of weeks they were planning on lifting the no fires rule for the campground.

If that happens anybody else up for grilling some stuff?  I can bring some skewers of things and maybe burgers.  I remember Waldo was talking about those Swiss sausages.

There are also some people who have backed out and can't make it.  I think there will be plenty of room so if you are someone lurking on the site and want to attend speak up.  I'm just the guy that booked the campsite.  Come hang out

looks easy from here

That would be fantastic. I was actually thinking about throwing out feelers here to see if anyone had any insight on if the fire restrictions might be changing. If they do relax I'll definitely bring some communal firewood and plenty of marshmallows to share, plus probably sausages for me and the kids.

I plan on it. It'll be good for quickly heating water in the morning, if nothing else. On the subject, I'll be bringing a french press, so I will have a surplus of coffee if anyone wants some. Full disclosure: I tend to lean to the strong side.

Hey Noal - been trying to reply to your message today but the system is not working for me. I sent you a clunky, old email.

What's a good time to arrive to get bear gulch parking? 730 or 8? It's been a while!

I got a reminder for my reservation today and noticed this statement in the rules.

•   Group Sites: Occupancy is limited to twenty people and five vehicles. No trailers or RV's motor homes allowed in group sites. Any self contained vehicle desiged for sleeping is considered an RV/Motor home.

I remember the old owners/camp host telling me that they didn't care how many tents were setup at the group sites - they just look at the number of vehicles. I seem to remember the first statement being the same in the old rules. I don't remember the second statement about what constitutes an RV but it may have been in there too. No idea how strict they are about policing the rules. We haven't been to the campground since the last PCAD in 2019. At that time they didn't hassle us for parking the truck camper at the group site. We'll be in site 51 this weekend and just walk over to the group site in the afternoon/evening.

I like their misspelling of designed.

That is probably a good idea (7:30 or 8:00). Seems like last time we were there on a Saturday it was full by 8:30. Saturday is always the worst. We have not been to the east side for a couple years and this is the busiest time of year. The earlier the better.

That's interesting about the number of vehicles.  Here's a screen shot of my original reservation where it says 2 vehicles.

I plan on being there on Friday midday at Condor Gulch.  For Saturday we could cut down on the number of cars up at the trail head by riding from the camp ground together.

I knew that was what you said - one of the reasons I wanted to share.

You might have put 2 in when you made the reservation? There is box that requires a number before it lets you move on.

Rules say 2 vehicles in individual sites and I know it used to be 5 for the group sites - and they did hassle us at PCAD about that.

•   Individual Tent/RV sites: Occupancy is limited to six people, three tents and two vehicles or one vehicle and one trailer or RV/Motor home. Any self contained vehicle desiged for sleeping is considered an RV/Motor home.

Also - even though we weren't hassled for sleeping in our rigs at the last PCAD - if the owners want to enforce their rules - they could throw a wrench in the works for some folks.

Apparently - No longer a need to check in (we have always checked in) - more from their rules/need to know info;

Our store can often be very busy, so when you arrive at the campground, you do not need to come into the store to check in. Please pick up a campground map from outside the store (this has all the camp rules and information on it) and you may proceed to your campsite.

No generators (so much for electrifying the band!) I'll cancel BOC and see if the Indigo Girls are still available.
I wonder if influencers are allowed?

No hook-ups in the tent or group sites - behave yourselves people!!!

•   RV sites have hookups at 120 volts with 30-amp service; Bring appropriate adapters if needed; Tent and group sites have no hook-ups. Generators are not allowed at any time in any site.

I did not specify the number of people.  It must be a mistake in the email.  2 cars are the limit for regular campsites.

I have never checked in for a campsite.

My status is in a bit of flux. My daughter's been fighting an infection for the last week+. Overall she's doing okay, but she may not be okay enough to go camping this weekend. If she's not I may come down with just Calvin or solo Saturday-Sunday, or just one day or the other. As soon as my situation clarifies I will update. Though it's likely most of you will not be in internet service by the time I lnow anything solid.

Hey, if y'all are alright with it, I may end up coming with Natalie this weekend. We still need to confirm some things first before I can definitively say though.
