Mendocino Pinot Festival
« on: May 20, 2007, 08:32:21 PM »
Checked out a couple wineries on the way home from Ft Bragg.

Wow, the Golden Eye Pinot is the best I've tasted yet. At $50.....it better be.

All of the wineries were opening up thier libraries and offering Pinot special releases to try and out do each other. The end result was that I picked up some killer wine.

I'm not worthy.

Mtn View art and wine festival was this weekend.

overpriced dry soil wines. i never buy the tokens for the wine. I figure I'm going to ask chica's sister to make me a list (she's a Sommelier at Del Coronado) then I'll buy online cheap or wait for specials to hit at the local store. I'm a lazy wine shopper.

Milpitas had one too, but it was warm so i bought beer tokens.

SNPA, i'm so predictable.

Hey Munge,

I live two blocks from Casto and was disappointed by the Mountain View fest. Seriously, when does melted beer and/or wine bottles count as art? Or, does the festival REALLY need 3 tie-dye booths? Come on...although they had tie-dye velvet legging....Factor would have loved them.

Next time, ring my door bell and I'll refill your beer mug.

sweet, you're on.

yeah, it was kinda week sauce, but I did pick up some nice pics of rock formations in China by Anne Xu.

Mt. Tianzi, WuLingYuan, and Sanzin, i think are the formation names. In Jiang Zi, or at least the last one is located there.

Stopping by Squiddos would be the ticket. Maybe get him to pour something from his reserve beer stash.

Well we were down in Santa Inez seeing GMA. I sware they jack up thier wine prices $10-20 so the LA folks think they are getting something nice. Some are so clueless about the wine.

I did get extra pours on the good $60 stuff (made my day). Whenever they ask "what are you tasting next....always say the last or 2nd to last one you just tasted.

We are crushing some grapes this Sat. And I think bottling in Oct. I'll throw a vino-fest to celebrate.
