In order to show a picture in your post, you need to perform following actions:
Step One: Publish the picture onlineIf it's a photo already online, skip this step. However, if its a picture of your own, you first need to publish it online. Many people use online photo sharing services such as
flickr and
photobucket to name a couple. We have our own gallery that we welcome our friends to use. See
this post for how. Once you have your photos online that anybody can access, move on to the next step.
Step Two: Get the link to the pictureBring up the picture you want to show in your post. In our gallery, we have four different size options for a full resolution photo. Usually the smallest or the next up is a good size to be in a post (full size would be too big). Now, right click on that photo. Among the options, look for one that gives you the link (url) to that photo. For example, in Firefox, the option is called "Copy Image Location". In IE, you choose "Properties" and then copy the value of the "Address(URL)" property.
For example, in this
gallery photo, the url for the image I want to show is
http://www.mudncrud.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=6642&g2_serialNumber=1Step Three: Show the picture in your postNow, in your post where you want to show the picture, all you need to do is paste the link to that image between "img" brackets like in the following line:

You will see the photo shows up.
