Free Gear for Munge
« on: November 07, 2007, 11:26:53 AM »
I have a lead on free bolts and anchors to be used (only) for replacing already existing bolts and anchors. You've made noise about fixing stuff at Frankensteins. Would free gear (if it can be gotten) help? I'd be willing to help with labor. Could we get a group of 6 or 8 climbers to fix all the ancors there in one day?

BY, not sure it will happen this season for me, but I'm definitely interested in fixing the existing stuff out there.  Proper chain anchors and no washer spacer bolt arrangements. This coming weekend is Bamas for 3 days, then big project, then likely Jtree for T-giving.  If the roads are still open at that point, then hot damn climbing should be done and not futz with rebolting. heh! But even then i suspect I'll be working on a big project thru the winter early spring.

I can help if Munge is busy and we have no snow. Maybe the weekend before t-giving.

The lead anchors are 3/8s bolts and are non-stainless. I guess getting the damn cone out will make it a fun project.

Are you getting all stainless? That would be nice.
I'm not worthy.
