A sad weekend for cyclists
«

I first heard about it today from a jogging partner. When I looked up the news, I found two sad incidences:
Two bicyclists struck and killed by sheriff's vehicle in Cupertino
. "Witnesses said they overheard the deputy saying he may have fallen asleep at the wheel." Both killed were elite cyclists, and one of them, "Christy was on her way to the Olympic trials."
Three ended up in hospital from a collision on Skyline just north of Alice's
.
The sad news hit home for me. Mud and I were on the road enjoying the perfect weather yesterday. Skyline is a road we travel often as a transition between different hill climbs.
Peace.
