Mountain bike ride this Sunday?
« on: July 18, 2008, 01:22:00 PM »
Munge and I are going to hit Saratoga Gap and Steven's Creek Canyon. Idea is to drive Munge's truck to the gap and then ride gap and then down into Upper Steven's Creek Canyon and then to mi casa. Then drive up in my car and drop off Munge.

Anyone else in? We could end the day after the drop off by grabbing some grub & suds somewhere.

Nooo! Ride up Montabello > Skyline > Russian Ridge> Long Ridge > down Grizzly flat.

Real men ride Montabello or up stevens canyon to montabello.

I'm not worthy.

Not me. Now that the race is over, I'll back off from mountain biking a bit. Need time for my busted wrist from a crash a while back to heal. Also the base of my right thumb is hurting due to over use (I started out over gripping too much and never gave it time to recover).  Plus, I spent whole day today, which started at 11am, cleaning and re-organizing the kitchen. Tomorrow, I'll need to work on other rooms.

Feels good to stay home for a weekend finally.

You boys have fun riding tomorrow. Watch out for the radar guns out there.
Inch by inch, I will get there.

Radars were out.   no tickets tho

This is roughly our ride...
http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/ca/san-jose/946966237479

25.55 is what it says, but I'm quite certain that is a very conservative estimate since it is hard to follow the route in the trees.

Uber added on a extra out and back section on Wards Road.

And when I say "ride", I am a noob, and had to walk some hills.

Feeling like I worked today.

Huge big ups to my Chica for the unanticipated ride.

Yes, thank you Mungenella!! I can't believe I left my keys in Munge's truck!!!!

That ride was awesome!!! Next time though we need to go back up Grizzly or Charcoal and finish the loop back to the Gap.  ;D

I'm hitting A-dero today. Wednesday - provided I can leave work early enough - I'll be going to my second pre-masters swim class. Did my first one last night. We focused on backstroke. My shoulders are worked today, but the class is great. Kelly is doing the class with me and she had a good time, too. My legs were also tired from the ride, but I managed to be one of the faster people in the class (albeit could NOT swim straight at all and my technique sux - but that's the point of taking the class so they can help me :) ).

ok, I'm confused now.

Uber said he is out tonight, he rode yesterday. He is swimming tonight.

Squiddo is saying he is in, but posting today?

i'm now back at my house working, so driving to Palo is not looking fun at 5pm.

i had to bail from work. event noise was making it impossible to get anything done on the phone.

Silver Taco if I make it up there.  Novara grey full susp.  blue shirt.  I'll try to get up there, but I'm still 30 minutes from leaving the door.

doesn't mean I'm not still confused.  :)

Munge, cool, I'll be the guy sucking wind on the silver single speed. Black shorts that make me look less manly and all potatoes.

single speed is ba-RUH-taL!  how was it?

I didn't get done with work til almost 7, so I just hit a short loop on the bike trail north from here, over to Milpitas and back.  Not sure, but I think rode thru the hood.
