OK, well then here are my two tips:

1. Get a different belayer. That guy looks like he is about to fall down.
2. Climb the intended route and stay out of the moss.

Ubber was fine because that bush/tree was in fall line below would have absobed the fall.

Agreed, he wouldn't hit the ground but he might set you up for a fly set of new front teeth.

Isn't that the second quickdraw by his right foot? If so, he wouldn't fall more than 6 feet max. And I guess that means he's on route... Plastic boots and crampons might be a good idea- that could open up whole faces previously thought unclimbable! I'm going to sharpen them right now!

If there's a bolt at his foot, then I've lost all respect for Ubber. You'd think the Old E would have given him the huevos to get past his last bolt, way past. Jim would have soloed it, I mean placed a bolt way high up.

there is no bolt at his foot. at that point, the bolt you see half way down was the only bolt.

What was even better was that shortly after the pic was taken, the drunken belayer was goofing off and tripped, almost pulling me off. I gave him a flying "hug" after I put in the second bolt and came down - to show my appreciation for his attentiveness.

Whatever Landshark circled, it's not a bolt. Clint and I did the second (??) and certainly last ever ascent of this route (ATDS). The second of two bolts is to Jeff's right, and above the height of his head (that is, in the photo, the bolt hadn't been placed yet).
