Climbing this weekend?
« on: September 14, 2008, 11:00:47 PM »
hi i am visiting from out of town (i have a wedding locally) and wanted to see if anyone would be up for meeting up for a little climbing sunday morning. i am curious to get to know the area, so even if you can't join, i'd like a recommendation on a spot with some good single-pitch sport climbs and maybe some bouldering

Hmmm... it's not clear where you will be on Sunday, but if you are anywhere near the Peninsula, Castle Rock sounds like what you are looking for.
Inch by inch, I will get there.

I am in British Columbia right now other wise I would try and accommodate. Discovery is good for ease of access, Marmot Rocks is a 30 minute approach with some good 5.8 to 10c.  Monolith for harder sport mostly in the 5.10 to 5.11 range but there are some easier classics.  The Frog and the Hand for some good routes that are a bit more adventurous.

Come on guys someone step up and show him around a bit.  It's the Pinnacle Damit.
Here's to sweat in your eye
